Praise and Worship

One thing that has been distinctive about glory meetings throughout the past decades has been the praise and worship.

The Word of God states that we should:

4Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.Psalm 100 v4

Through praise we enter into the courts of the Living God. Music plays a huge role in the Fiskerton meetings, and the repertoire is of uplifting hymns and choruses that praise God for what he's done and worship Him for who He is.  Some hymns and choruses are three hundred years old, some are three years old, most of the choruses are simple and emphatic, but the sole purpose is to lift up the name of Jesus Christ, as God intended us to from the very beginning.

Body Ministry

Henri always encouraged believers to exercise their faith through some physical manifestation or outworking.  This could be through standing up and giving a testimony within the meeting, it could by asking them to praise the Lord, it could be all manner of things, so long as it was an outward assertion of faith.

The Apostle Paul wrote:

11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers,

12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up

13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.Ephesians 4:11-13

Believers are encouraged to participate in the meetings in many different ways, often by getting up and giving a word of testimony of what God is doing in them today.

You will often hear born again believers say "I'm thinking of becoming a full-time minister".  Well, the news for you is that if you are born again of the Spirit of God you already are, whether you're a plumber, a ditch digger or a data entry adminstrator.

5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God,

6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.2 Corinthians 3:5-6

It is essential that all of the Body of Christ, (the church), fulfills the ministry to which we as individuals and as a group of people were born into.
